I would like to commend our tour guide Elena for the most informative and enjoyable 2 day tour of St. Petersburg. Elena was extremely knowlegdeable about all the areas we visited. She answered questions willingly, made it possible to accomodate individual needs. It has been a worthwhile experience and the highlight of our cruise to see St. Petersburg. I was a bit apprehensive about Russian immigration and joining a tour group outside of the ship, but it was unfounded. I also liked the small group. We were very disappointed that we could not see Berlin, as our cruise ship was not able to dock. Thanks again and I wish your tour company continued success.

Wanted you to know that the highlight of our recent Baltic cruise to St. Petersburg was Alla Tour’s assignment of Elena to lead our tour. Elena is the best tour guide we ever had. She was well informed about everything on the tour . We were impressed with her ability to assert herself at the “summer palace” when other tours tried to intermingle with our group. Elena guided us with confidence and made sure we saw everything. Our group was relatively small but she was always looking for stragglers as we walked among the fountains or headed for the rest rooms. We felt totally at ease with her and really appreciated her insights and explanations of Russian life as we traveled from place to place. It is clear that she really likes her job. We just arrived back home after our first Baltic Cruise and the opinion from the four of us was unanimous: Elena's tours with us over two days were the best thing we did on the entire cruise. Her knowledge of her city and her obvious pride in it set a perfect tone for seeing its riches. As knowledgeable as she was about the city and its history, however, the most touching part of the tour was a surprising half-hour conversation with had with her about her life and life in Russia and St. Petersburg in general. This happened by accident near the end of the tour and was a perfect cap for a memorable couple of days. We all wanted to adopt her when the tour ended. I finally have a chance to drop you a note after our return home. The small private tours are the way to go when touring. No waiting in line wondering where to go or how to get tickets. The private rather that cruise tours are smaller and let you meet and get to know other people. Elena was an excellent guide. We really enjoyed our tour and we were satisfied with the cost-benefit, comparing to those in our cruise dinner table we saw more and pay less than the rest of them. We also did enjoyed our evening program at the Folk show, we can't see that near home either, both companies on stage were very well dressed and with great attitude on stage. Thanks for allowing us to book the folk show until that same day and please congratulate the young girl that picked us up at the port terminal and help us get through inmigrations eventhough we had no printed tickets and the officer Did not wanted to let us off, as soon as she aknowledge we were not being allowed she took control,being brave enough to get in line with us and talked our way through inmigration and to get us to the theater on time. She accompanied us answering all our questions and left us until we were inside the theater. After the driver who was waiting for us just outside infront of the main gate took us back and we felt like royalty. Again price for show and transportation were good cost-benefit wise. We have a great experience and wanted to thank you for all your responses, i will be happy to recommend you and use your services again if we go back to St Petersburg.

We have now returned from our Baltic cruise on Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas. We would like to thank you for the excellent 2 day complete package tour which you provided in St Petersburg. It was most enjoyable despite the best efforts of Royal Caribbean to make life difficult on the first morning - we just ignored their instructions. Elena was brilliant. She was informative and everything was superbly organized. Her English was better than that of many English people and nothing was too much trouble for her. We saw everything we could wish to see and we had fast track entry to the major sites, making the visits most pleasant and uncrowned, much better than anything Royal Caribbean could offer. It was nice only having 9 of us in a comfortable air-conditioned minibus with a driver who certainly knew his way around. Thank you again with particular gratitude to Elena.

We are now home from our wonderful Baltic cruise. Judy and I agree that the Alla tour of St. Petersburg on May 4 and 5 with Elena and Dmitri was a highlight of our trip. Elena is very knowledgeable and explained the sights very well. The use of the microphone and ear pieces helped tremendously to hear her explanations. The sights, of course, were thrilling to us, and especially to me, to see the changes that have come to your country since I last visited in February 1993 (I can't say that the traffic congestion, though, is an improvement! HA! Dmitri is a skillful driver and delivered us safely to each destination). You all made us feel very welcome and you genuinely cared about our comfort. I especially appreciated the detailed instructions about going through Immigration as that bureaucratic process can be intimidating. We have heard horror stories, but your step-by-step guidance made it easy. We also enjoyed getting to know our fellow tourists and actually spent time with some of them on the ship after we left St. Petersburg. That is the value of your small groups--companionship. Plus, with the small group, we could quickly load and unload from the van and we could easily ask Elena questions. You did everything exactly right and we will be happy to recommend you to friends.
